Job Description:
The objective of this position is two-fold.
First, to ensure that everyone who contacts our campus by phone or in person is welcomed in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. This person is often the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a positive experience while reflecting the heart of Christ through their hospitality.
Second, to provide support for the daily operations of the campus, including general administrative tasks and maintaining a well-organized office environment. A dependable team player with strong organizational skills, the Office Coordinator is a valuable asset to the staff.

Skills & Talents Needed:
LEADERSHIP: The church is, by design, an organization of volunteers. Every staff member must excel in management of self, teams, and others.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: The church is a collection of people; therefore, interpersonal and listening skills are necessary for every staff member.
COMPUTER PROFICIENCY: Must be comfortable working with Mac and PC computers and proficient with Database Management, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite Applications.
COMMUNICATION: Professional written and verbal communication skills required; Oral communication skills are essential.
DISCERNMENT: Must be able to discern needs and respond appropriately, sensitively and proactively.
SELF-STARTER: Must be a catalytic leader and self-starter who not only gets things done, but makes things happen.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Front Desk & Guest Experience
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and deliveries with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
Answer and direct calls using a standard greeting; take accurate messages.
Return phone calls and messages in a timely manner.
Welcome guests and provide information or assistance, ensuring every interaction reflects the heart and mission of Atlee Church.
Maintain a consistent and inviting front desk presence.
Schedule and coordinate volunteer coverage during meetings or absences.
2. Database Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the church database (including contact info, attendance, profile information, event registrations, and volunteer rosters).
Support data-driven ministry needs, and ensure information is properly organized for team access.
Handle data entry and filing with a strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
3. Office Management
Monitor and restock office and hospitality supplies; anticipate needs and place orders in a timely manner. Keep office supplies organized and accessible.
Ensure the copier and other office equipment are functional and well-maintained; troubleshoot or coordinate service as needed.
Keep all work areas tidy, organized, and secure—especially when handling confidential materials.
Help manage shared calendars for events, facility use, and internal meetings; confirm details are accurate and communicated appropriately.
Manage the office budget responsibly, including tracking expenses, submitting purchase requests, and ensuring spending aligns with approved allocations.
4. Supportive Tasks & Team Collaboration
Assist with ordering, preparing, and printing materials for classes, events, and ongoing ministries (e.g., brochures, handouts, signage).
Coordinate logistics (ordering food, setup, communication) for meetings and events as assigned.
Support the Pastors and staff with administrative tasks and communications.
Serves as a filter for the staff and pastors for non-essential emails, phone calls, conversations, and meetings.
Maintain a clear, updated procedure manual to ensure smooth transitions or volunteer support.
Leads the admin volunteer team and schedules them for front desk coverage, and special projects, meetings, events, and tasks.
Step in where needed as a collaborative, solutions-minded team member.
Prepares materials or handouts for Sunday services.
Hours and Benefits:
Requires a minimum of 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Easter and Christmas Eve are required.
Vacation, sick time, and 403B retirement plan (for you to contribute to) are available after 90 days of employment.
