21 DAYS OF PRAYER IS DESIGNED TO HELP GUIDE OUR CHURCH THROUGH AN INTENTIONAL SEASON OF PRAYER.

Individually, we will embrace daily prayer practices and focus our intentions on our relationship with God. Focused times of prayer result in fresh insights and a deeper connection with God. We will experience renewal through our faithfulness in connecting to God in a more disciplined way.

What is fasting?

Traditionally, fasting is the willing abstinence from food for a period of time. It is one of the least embraced practices of Jesus.

Fasting is not just about food. There are many distractions that take us away from focusing on God in our daily lives. A fast can be from social media, television, news, fast food, gossip, online shopping or anything else that we mindlessly fill up our time with.

Fasting is meant to awaken our awareness of those things which are not necessarily bad things, but which tend to dictate how we spend our time, and then to intentionally spend that time focusing on God; asking questions, listening and learning from him.

Christian fasting does not tremble in the hope of earning... It is a hunger for God awakened by the taste of God freely given in the gospel...Rising early is a kind of fast. Coming to pray when it is hard to get there is another kind of fast.
